Traditionally, Forskolin has been used for ayurvedic purposes to treat various conditions and ailments. It is an extract from a plant, Coleus forskohli which are from a mint family. Primarily, it is used to treat asthma, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, eczema, angina, and psoriasis. The extract was tested on human and animals and has shown significant effects.

Basically, it works by stimulating cyclic adenosine monophosphate or cAMP which is important in cell regulating compounds. It also activates other enzymes with support from neurotransmitters and other hormones.
